Dr. Barón has been with our Biometrics Department since 1984. She earned her B.A. in Mathematical Science from Rice University in Houston, Texas (1977). She earned her Masters and Ph.D. in Biometry from the University of Texas School of Public Health in Houston (1984).

Dr. Anna Barón served as a Visiting Biostatistician in the Epidemiology Unit , Centro di Riferimento Oncologico (CRO); in Aviano, Italy for one year, (1989-1990), and has collaborated with Dr. Silvia Franceschi and her colleagues on annual visits since then.

Dr. Barón was the Biostatistician at the National Center for Ameican Indian and Alaska Native Mental Health Research, here at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in the Department of Psychiatry in the School of Medicine from 1986 - 1996.
