Dr. Diane Fairclough received her doctoral degree in Biostatistics from the School of Public Health at the University of North Carolina. Since that time she has held appointments at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Harvard School of Public Health, Dana Farber Cancer Institute and AMC Cancer Research Center.

She is the author of the recently published book ‘Design and Analysis of Quality of Life Studies in Clinical Trials. In addition to extensive collaborative research, Dr. Fairclough is an associate editor for Quality of Life Research, has served member of the board of directors for the International Society of Quality of Life Research (ISOQOL), she is an external member of the Data Safety Monitoring committee of the Children’s Oncology Group.

She is currently at the Colorado Health Outcomes Program and a Visiting Professor in the Department of Preventive Medicine and Biometrics at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
