Dr. Jill Norris is a
Professor with the Department of Preventive Medicine and Biometrics
and Head of the Section of Epidemiology and Community Health. She has been with
the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center since 1990. Dr. Norris
is a graduate of Colgate University, Hamilton, NY, where she received her
B.A. in Biology (1986).
Dr. Norris studied Epidemiology
at the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA where she was awarded her
M.P.H. (1988). Dr. Jill Norris completed her doctoral studies in Epidemiology
at the University of Pittsburgh (1990).
Dr. Norris' primary
research interests are epidemiology of Type 1 Diabetes with a particular
focus on the impact of nutrition on the immune system; the genetic epidemiology
of Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes; and the epidemiology of Rheumatoid Arthritis.
