Dr. Miriam Orleans has been with the Department of Preventive Medicine and Biometrics since 1975. She is now in the status Professor Emeritus.

Dr. Orleans attended Douglass College, Rutgers University and graduated with her B.A. (1947). Dr. Orleans earned her M.A. from the University of Kentucky (1948), and completed her Doctoral studies at the University of Wisconsin (1954).

Dr. Miriam Orleans has been a member of the Breast Cancer Control Advisory Committee with the Colorado Department of Health ('86-'90), and also a Consultant in Technology Assessment in Perinatal Medicine with the World Health Organization.
