Dr. Rietmeijer has been with the Department of Preventive Medicine and Biometrics since 1992. He is a graduate of the University of Amsterdam where he received his Medical Degree in 1977. Dr. Rietmeijer received his M.S.P.H. from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 1991 and his Ph.D. from the University of Amsterdam in 2003.

Dr. Kees Rietmeijer is currently a Professor with the Department of Preventive Medicine and Biometrics and he is also the Director of the Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) Control Program at Denver Public Health. His research interests are in the fields of the epidemiology and prevention of STDs and HIV/AIDS.
